proudly hailing from south central LA, Lesli LeGras is a deliciously awkward autistic writer, facilitator, and intuitive guide. through her spiritual practices, creative projects, and lived walk, she channels the magic of written and spoken word to seed, nurture, and catalyze individual and collective healing, transformation, and embodiment. this work is shaped by Lesli’s deep roots as a community servant, movement facilitator, and ally to young folks surviving systemic oppression; her own ongoing journey of tending to personal & ancestral trauma through Spirit- & soul-work; and her lived experience as a Black & multi-racial soulo mama to two audacious and neurodivergent babes, whom she reverently refers to as ‘the quirky crew.’ when she isn’t loving on her quirksters, you can most likely find Lesli deepening her study of tarot, kundalini reiki, and other ancient and/or ancestral spiritual and somatic practices, facilitating liberated spaces with beloved co-conspirators, or daydreaming about past — and manifesting future — travel adventures to salve her wanderlust.
blackbird storytelling – inspiration gifted to Lesli by her ancestors on May 9, 2021 – has evolved from a boutique graphic recording & narrative strategy agency to a copy, design, and publishing hub for makers, mavens, and matriarchs. more than that, blackbird is a digital sandbox for Lesli to openly practice liberation by living into her reclaimed sense of creativity, curiosity, and childlike wonder in hopes that it sparks a re-remembrance of your own. viewing blackbird storytelling through that lens of abundance – as opposed to limiting its offerings to artifacts to be critiqued and consumed unidirectionally – not only divorces us from cultural habits of white supremacy related to perfectionism and all-or-nothing thinking, it also guarantees a more joyful, playful, and authentic way in and through this liminal space.
and who doesn’t need more joy and play and authenticity?
from south central with [radically unconditional] love.
